In fact, I would take an educated guess that the model name VSA-30 refers to Virtual Surround with 30 watts . Again, I don't know much about Surround, being more just a hi-fi stereo fan, but if you find this interesting and want to experiment with the features, may be amplifier for. I'm assuming this was an early attempt at Surround Sound. At first I did not understand the BALANCE control: As an old stereo guy, assumed balance referred to would be LEFT RIGHT.

As far as I can see, there is NO provision to balance from the LEFT RIGHT channel. Did not test the video features. But its not. Even if not, the stereo-only sound is excellent.
