The Marantz SR-3000 is a high-value home theater receiver that offers outstanding sound quality, flexibility and user convenience. The SR-3000 dolby digital-ready receivers make it easy to move a true high-performance home entertainment system and experience excitement of multi-channel theater surround sound. I bought it to sell, but ended up using play CDs through my vintage pioneer speakers. Six-channel direct inputs to accommodate a dolby digital or dots decoder future surround sound formats.

Multi-channel amplification-40 watts into 8 ohms the three front channels and 25 each surround channel. Note: the original brochure which is for sr-4000 model's both say it dolby digital ready. I could definitely get in a couple local stations with no problems. The dolby digital-ready SR-3000 is ideal pro logic receiver for value conscious home theater enthusiasts.

This unit does not have phono impute connectors, so it cannot accept a turntable without separate preamps between the and receiver. I never got around to installing an antenna, but the tuner seems work fine.
