Shipping requires a lot of bubble wrap and two double walled boxes, so shipping costs reflect some of that to help offset the cost plus this thing weighs pounds. It also has a few scratches and a small dent on the top, all of which are in the pics. Works great. Comes with the Sony remote commander rm tp503 which is also awesome and works great.

The main thing wrong with it is the front control panel that opens does not stay closed all the way see pics which is a common problem with these from what I have read. Very clean and awesome and rare Sony receiver.
