While not enamored with surround sound av systems, I will tip my hat to the Technics SA-DX1040. Unfortunately, this dx-1040 developed a weak intermittent channel last summer it escapes me as to which one. I opened it up to inspect and clean the pots switches noticed a couple of burned resistors in plain view.

This is a powerful, musical receiver. It has a ton of features and is bi-amiable.

These receivers run hot at low volume as the cooling fan is activated by control. It kicked butt as a stand alone receiver.

The remote is not included.
