This unit does have a phono preamps built right in so just hook up your turntable and all set to go. It has all digital controls for the FM am radio, as well volume control. The only real flaw I found is a few light scratches in upper left hand rear corner of unit otherwise its great shape.

The active display equalizer is also a spectrum analyzer if you like to see your music dance. This Jvc am FM receiver has a very cool multicolored display with equalizer five preset buttons to customize yourself.

Having this option built in also saves you the extra space and money of purchasing a separate equalizer. Standard mail shipping is free. The headphone jack is hidden behind a tiny panel that flips out on front.
