Details:

Unit is in decent cosmetic condition; some scratches on the face plate, rear panel has rust. The following functions have NOT been tested: Composite/S-Video inputs/outputs. One of the rear-panel switched AC outlet's has a corner broken off. The audio section is mostly working with the following caveats:The sub-amplifier assembly for B speakers dead.

The following functions have been tested: Main amplifier for the A speakers. The speaker relay for the main amplifier A speakers could use replacement as it is intermittent, sometimes requiring a tap or increase in volume channel to cut. Cleaned front panel potentiates with Exit. IR remote control sensing.

Volume, Bass/Mid/Treble, balance, and level potentiates have been cleaned operate smoothly. The audio section is mostly working with the following caveats All front panel tactile switches are functional. Dolby surround processing. Both UPC1188H amplifier Incs appear to have shorts between their outputs and the positive rail.

Adjusted bias for both channels per service manual. Runs stable from 20 Hz to KHz delivering 65 W RMS into an 8 Ohm load. Calibrated main amplifier bias. This Yamaha AVX-100U is offered as-is, and usable as a basic stereo receiver/amplifier or source of parts.

Rear panel remote control ports. Bass extension switch is slightly noisy when switching but stable in its final position. All RCA inputs and outputs have been tested. Confirmed that all inputs can also be routed to the audio record outputs.

Power going to the sub-amp assembly has been left disconnected and safely secured in order prevent this issue from triggering main amplifiers protection circuit. The following service work has been done to the unit: Reworked several poor solder joints on main board. Preamps section. All indicator Leds aside from the Muting LED have been tested and confirmed to work.
